Puku-Chan’s Hospital Bag Checklist

What to Pack for a Calm, Cozy Delivery Day

Baby’s almost here! Whether it’s your first snuggle or your fourth tiny sock, packing your hospital bag ahead of time is one of the best ways to feel calm, confident, and ready for the big moment.

To help, we’ve put together a thoughtful checklist—with a little extra love (and some plant-based sparkle) from Arau Baby.

When to Pack

Babies love surprises, so aim to have your bag packed and ready by 35–36 weeks. That way, whenever your little one decides to debut, you’ll feel one step ahead.

What to Pack
For Mom (aka the Star of the Show)

✔️ Comfy clothes: Think cozy robe, soft nightgowns, loose joggers, nursing tanks, and fuzzy socks.

✔️ Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, lip balm, face wash, and gentle shampoo. Bring fragrance-free or natural options for extra-sensitive skin.

✔️ Postpartum Care: The hospital usually provides some, but feel free to bring your own. This includes Peri Bottle, Witch hazel pads/spray, and adult diapers.

✔️ Nursing supplies: Nipple cream, nursing pads, and maybe a breastfeeding pillow (total game-changer).

✔️ Snacks: Labor = work. Pack easy bites like trail mix, fruit cups, or granola bars.

✔️ Important things: ID, insurance card, birth plan (if you have one).

✔️ Phone + charger: A long cord helps when outlets are hiding in faraway corners.

✔️ Extras: Your own pillow, headphones, and a cute reusable water bottle.

For Baby (aka the Snuggle Boss)

✔️ Going-home outfit: Soft, cozy, and camera-ready.

✔️ Newborn onesies & sleepers: Bring 2–3 (spit-ups happen).

✔️ Blankets: Swaddles or receiving blankets to keep things warm and gentle.

✔️ Hat & socks: Tiny heads and toes get chilly fast!

✔️ Diapers & wipes: Most hospitals provide them, but some parents prefer bringing their go-to gentle brands.

✔️ Foam Body Soap: Mild, plant-based, and made with love—Arau Baby’s Foam Body Soap is perfect for baby’s first bath. Zero synthetic fragrances, just pure plant-powered care.

For Your Support Person (aka Team You)

✔️ Change of clothes: For overnight stays or mid-labor coffee spills.

✔️ Toiletries: No one wants to forget their toothbrush.

✔️ Snacks & drinks: Supporting you is a full-time job—help them keep energy up.

✔️ Entertainment: Books, playlists, silly games—labor can take a while.

✔️ Pillow & blanket: Hospital chairs aren’t exactly cloud-soft. Bringing a few comforts helps.
